At its core, branding is storytelling. You create a character, give it values and perspective, a mission, a way of communicating, a visual identity and an audience. Good brands possess strong stories. That’s why people remember them. From naming projects to developing brand architectures, stories, messaging pillars and voice and tone guidelines to translating those principles into creative executions, I’m a nerd for branding work and love to lead brands toward the best version of themselves. Geek out with me below.

Lamar Johnson Collaborative

Lamar Johnson Collaborative is a transformative design agency, acquired by one of the nation's largest privately-owned real estate, architecture, engineering, design-build and construction firms, Clayco.

LJC tasked us with developing a new brand architecture and campaign for their relaunch as part of Clayco. Together with Associate Creative Director Sarah Zimmer, we created an imaginative approach centered around architectural narratives—that is, design as a storytelling device—that illuminated the power and possibility of transformative design.

Annie Chun’s

Because of the work we did for Bibigo, the client tapped us to reimagine the brand look and feel for Annie Chun’s, giving their delicious, healthier-for-you pan-Asian noodles a bright, modern look and tone.

Chamberlain

Chamberlain wanted to reinvent itself as a visionary tech brand, not just a purveyor of garage door openers. Our team created a refreshed brand architecture, voice and visual identity with that spirit in mind, all beautifully packaged within a new brand book.
